Hope for Children on the Streets
Romans 8:15
AHZ MISSION STATEMENT
The ALC is open daily for programs to any of the boys on the streets (hundreds). Games, math and reading lessons, life skills, food and bible lessons are a part of the daily schedule for all.
Mayompapa is part of a Bemba proverb that means, "Today I will carry you, but tomorrow you will carry me." Each week we invite around 40 guys from town to shower, eat, play and learn about God's plan and the grace offered by Jesus Christ.
Girls make less than 5% of the population of kids on the streets, but the abuse and suffering they face is intense. We have weekly programs for the girls as well and tend to many of their medical and social needs during the week.
The Vineyard property is designed to house under 18 school-going boys. The homes have a set of godly Zambian house parents and there, they can find stability to grow and live like normal kids.
STC is designed to help those young men who have been on the streets for most of their lives or have just recently left home and need a step up to find their way. Here is where they can engage in hands on training, starting with agriculture.
Our home for girls helps rescue the girls who really show a desire to leave town and find a new life. Here they find many opportunities to grow as young women, get an education, learn skills and grow in the gospel of Christ.
