Abba's History

Bob and Candace Walker were sent to Zambia by Heart of the Bride orphan ministry in 2006 when they started the work with street kids.  Abba's Heart Zambia was formed and established in 2012.  They were able to purchase property in 2013 and renovate their first house for boys.  Now AHZ has 2 homes for boys, a home for girls, a drop in center in town and regular outreach and residential programs that focus on sharing the love of Jesus Christ, emotional healing and equipping kids for their future.

AHZ also has a leadership team made up of the 5 Directors and God has provided an amazing group of Zambian staff and full-time missionaries that love these kids passionately and help shape the ministry as God leads.

Zambia has over 1 million orphans and thousands of children living on the streets.

The AHZ mission is to exhibit the Father heart of God by providing hope and loving care for the street kids of Zambia, as we nurture them to be true disciples of Christ.

Romans 8:15 says, 'The Spirit you received brought about adoption to sonship.  And by Him we cry, "Abba, Father".  It is our hope that these lost and abandoned kids, will come to know salvation and adoption into God's family through Jesus Christ.
